Tim Seyfert Profile

Tim was born and raised in Northern California and has been in love with cinema for as long as he can remember.
He studied journalism at San Francisco State University and after graduating with BA, worked as a production assistant for CBS news. then later as a newspaper reporter.
After moving to the UK and studying filmmaking at the University of Bristol, he landed his first professional acting role as King Arthur in the historical series Mystery Filed, which aired globally on The National Geographic Channel and The Discovery Channel. This was followed by the leading role in the art house short film Time Travel Boyfriends, which won the Prix Radi Award at the 2010 Cannes Film Festival.
Since then Tim has worked steadily in both film and television. Most recently he can be seen opposite Kiefer Sutherland in the latest seasons of the FOX television series 24: Live Another Day and in the upcoming revival of the BBC series Poldark.

Stillness of the Shelter was selected as a Staff Pick during its crowd-funding on Kickstarter, and was successfully backed at a budget exceeding the initial goal.

The first shoot of Stillness of the Shelter took place in Budock Parish Church, and involved the funeral scenes with Tim Seyfert and a range of extras, played by students from Falmouth University.

Production Designer Jess Russell built a coffin frame with a plastic wrap and sourced the materials to dress the church appropriately.

Falmouth and Penryn Funeral Directors became involved a week before the shoot, and offered to bring a hearse to the shoot to add to the authenticity and production value of the film.

Despite struggling with the timing throughout the day, the shoot was successfully finished and the footage is looking really promising.

The day after the Church Shoot, the crew shot the opening bedroom scenes with Tim Seyfert and then one of the flashback scenes to Patrick’s childhood with Patrick’s father (Tony King) and the Young Patrick (Wiktor Kujawski). Tall Ships Trading shop in Falmouth was the location for this flashback, where a keyring is bought as a present for Young Patrick, an item that he treasures throughout his life and becomes a visual motif throughout the film.

The shoot was documented by Photographer Matthew Pople, who provided the Behind the Scenes photos and promotional photographs within the lighting and filming set up. Matthew’s photography work can be seen through here.
